Headache can also be associated with tension-type headache, medication overuse, temporomandibular disorders and other medical conditions.

Migraine is primarily a neurological condition. A doctor experienced in headache medicine commonly a neurologist, headache specialist or appropriately trained physician can diagnose migraine and recommend acute or preventive treatment.
