Although snoring is a common problem but none of us thinks that it can be a symbol of disturbed respiration during sleep. Snoring can occur due to various factors but one of the most important is the malposition of the lower jaw. Even a little too far back positioning of the lower jaw makes the tongue farther back than optimal. This leads to vibration of the tongue against our soft palate that leads to closing off of our airway and hence causes snoring and disturbed sleep.
In most of the cases, the patient himself does not complain of snoring but his sleeping partner complains about it. Patient only feels that his sleep is disturbed and he does not feel fresh in the morning even after full night sleep. This should not be ignored and the patient should visit an NMD clinic for the optimal check-up as these mildly looking symptoms can lead to OSA or even death due to suffocation.

Every time there is a desaturation event there is a possibility of an opinion attack this would stop the person from going into deep sleep and hence a disturbed sleep.
